Creative Collection Install problem

Post by kyricus »

Hello all,

I searched for an answer to this installation problem but couldn't find it, I'm sure I just missed seeing it.

I just recently upgraded to X5 Ultimate from X2. Uninstalled X2 prior to installation. Everything installed fine up until I get to the installation of the Creative_Collection. When I try to install it I get the following error.

"setup new/ setup cpp (140)
PAPP
PVendor
PGuide
$
@win vista service pack 1 (7601)
IE version 9.0.8112.16421 I run win7 64 bit

I've tried running the installer in compatibility mode for Widows Vista but no go, same error.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium.

Any help would be appreciated as I'd like the extra brushes and all that come with this pack. Thanks in advance.

You could try re-downloading the file in case the one you have is corrupted.

You know, that was a darn simple solution, and one I have no idea why I didn't try. That worked! lol. Thank you. Oh, and very nice flicker images.

Also Kyricus, you did not need to uninstall X2. You can have different versions of PSP running to take advantages of features that you are familiar with until you get used to the newer version. I still have 8 X2, X3, X4, and X5 installed and available when required to test others problems and for features that I like in one version that operate differently in a later version.
Systems available Win7, Win 8.1,Win 10 Version 1607 Build 14393.2007 & version 20H2 Build 19042.867
