I have installed the update. Initial reactions, it looks like there are some improvements and changes to the interface, apart from the additional new camera support.

I have a registered version of Noise Ninja and its operational. My concern is that there is no automatic lens correction for my Micro Four Thirds, Panasonic G3 and lenses. This is a basic requirement for appropriate support for the raw files, as without the lens correction applied the processed files are unacceptable. The necessary correction requirements are contained in the raw data and are applied by other software that I use, Lightroom, Capture One Express and even Qimage Ultimate which is primarily high end printing software.

There are positive indications that Corel is prepared to make further improvements.

Will keep following developments.

Perfectly Clear is gone as expected.
<snip>
Hmm ... Perfectly Clear (which I don't use) is still present in the updated Linux version.

What's really interesting is that this pages says the release date is "2013-07-19" - that's next Wednesday Friday :)

Hmm ... have you allowed for the International Date Line? Or is this just a case of astigmatism (on the calendar) by the packager?

Camera support also includes lens correction profiles? Because the current version of ASP already opens Sony RX100 raw files but it still requires severe perspective correction.

PS- I know there are user made lens correction profiles for the RX100 in this forum ;)
RX100 may be a typo to RX1, which is supported in 1.2.0.7 but not in the list

I mentioned this in a different thread after the update was released, but still no support for Fuji EXR sensors and .RAF raw file format (which Corel said it was going to fully support about a year ago). Corel's own general consumer product, PaintShop Pro X5, supports both, but their "professional" RAW editor does not. Hmmm. At this time I am still having to use Adobe LR4 and ACR (and others) which fully support the Fuji EXR camera line. Too bad.

Nice to see some progress, I thought Aftershot was dead.

I also appreciate that someone from Corel is in this forum and that Corel added support for Fujifilm X100.
Now please add also support for Fujifilm X100s. Thanks!

Good to see that Fuji X is still completely ignored in this update.

I'm giving some serious thought to a Fuji X, but I have no expectation that it will *ever* be supported in ASP.

Any non-Bayer sensors involve building another conversion engine pretty much from scratch. Even Adobe and Capture One have had a lot of difficulty doing so. A company that hasn't been able to marshal the skills and resources to get out timely updates for Bayer sensors or fix other minor bugs isn't going to support non-Bayer any time soon. Granted that there are signs of progress on ASP, but I still think it's beyond them. I suspect that if the Bibble Labs staff were still employed by Corel it would still be beyond them.

My advice would be to come to terms with this and find another converter, which is possible given that you're on Windows.

Not for me as I have XPro1 and Xe1 cameras. :x
I guess your post was ironic.

XTrans sensor is not difficult any more just different. ;-)

Take a look at LightZone.
It is free now and multi-platform (Windows/Linux/Mac).

It uses DCRAW engine and works very quickly.

Hi Rick,

longtime Bibble user so really appreciate the efforts Corel is going through in continuing with Aftershot Pro. Same great interface with a whole lot more!

I know the recent update included support for the Sony RX100.....any chance for a profile of the Sony RX100 II?

thanks!
