b5.2.2/3 no typing

yes, this is what i'm still using. does anyone have a clue as to why i am no longer able to type in any input box? i can hilight any previous text but can not alter or delete. this is in both versions. can't find a settings folder i could trash. please help get it working again. i was thinking about reinstalling but i only have 5.2.3. i have to use 5.2.2 for tifs because 5.2.3 crashes. if anyone still has a .dmg?

if only asp was nearly as good i wouldn't have to do this. there's still plugins from b4 that i need to use. this heavy reliance on plugs has come back to bite us.
