Can I still save files in workspace.

Post by erock »

Hi,

I have been using PI since its very first release and still have all versions using both 12 and X3 now on Win 7 Pro okay.

Every now and then, usually because I push it too hard it stops responding and it has just done it again and foolish me did not save any of my work.

I have been dragging JPG files from many win explorer folders to the X3 workspace and now it has stopped responding. It is still on screen with the workspace showing and i was wondering whether there is a way that I can still access the files I have in that space to at least save them.

Maybe a temp file or ini file somewhere that records at least the history of what folders they came from ?? Grasping for help here!!

I will also leave it here for a while to see if it resolves itself.

I also would like to know if PaintShop Pro X5 can read and write to UFO files with all layers, text etc intact.

Thanks

oz

Hi oz

I'm afraid when PI crashes you are unable to retrieve your documents again.

I run PIX3 on Windows 8 okay. It does occasionally hang and or crash. PI, as we were told isn't compatible with Win7 or Win8.

As for PSPX5 it does recover documents if it crashes. PaintShoop ProX5 can also read Ufos, but those that are editable within PI are not editable in PSP.
I have lots of Ufo.s that I still open in PSP.
