Hi,
I Have a clip which has numerous people coming out of a stretched limousine. The filming was set up for fun whereby we had about 50 people going in through one door but the camera was set up on the exit door.
How can I use the titles where I have a counting title on screen, adding up the total number of people exiting the limo?
I'm thinking along the lines of a car odometer where you see the mileage wheel rotating.
Any other ideas welcome. I have VSP x6 Ultimate
Thanks

Depends a lot on how much work you want to put into making just the counter - I just knocked up a quick demo of numbers counting up - for the demo I set all the numbers the same time apart but if you have people appearing in two's or threes or some are closer together then just change the number timings, have a look here :- http://youtu.be/oZ-81xGZBPs

Thanks Brian.
I was wondering how I could do a rotational counter?

Took a bit of working out - needs a bit of work to refine the procedure - but this is looking promising :-

Looks a lot smoother.
I'm looking at the Boris Graffiti plug-in to see what's available.

Re: How to create a counting title
I did look through Boris as well but nothing seemed easy - that last one I made took quite a bit of fiddling and would not be easy to line up the action and the number rolling over - obviously one of those things VideoStudio is not very good at doing - unless any one else has any ideas ?
I am really wondering if the easiest way might be to buy a tally counter and video it's display while you count people - then add the tally counter video as an overlay to your original video

Looked at the tutorials online from Corel for Boris. Will need to take a full day out to get to grips with it.
I take Brian you use a scroll down for the numeric movement? Did you use two title tracks?

Re: How to create a counting title
As I say it was quite difficult to get a smooth and continuous scroll - in the end I made separate jpg images for each number so that the number filled the screen and put them sequentially in the top timeline - then applied the "Push - Slide" transition set to change vertically as it was the only transition which gave a smooth downward movement - some of the other 'slide' ones looked as though they were on the sides of a cube being revolved.
Then I made a video of the whole sequence - which I then put back into the overlay track of the finished video - this allowed me to re-size the image while keeping the numbers dropping within the counter window.
as I say - bit of a fiddle - I think if I really wanted to do it I would be buying one of these :-

and videoing the display as I advanced it once every time someone left the car and then putting that video back into the overlay track of my final video
