OK so it may be an age thing but I can't work out why my x5 has changed.
I have x5 working side by side on my desk top work computer and my travel laptop. All has been well. Identical results. But today I hit a problem. The work space on each computer is now different and are giving me different results and I don't know what I did to do it or how to undo what ever I did! My lap top is ok but the desk top has changed.
Version 15.2.0.12 in both cases. Preferences are both set the same.
My problem appeared when I Duplicated a layer then created a Raster layer. I then normally fill the raster layer with a solid colour. But on my desktop I can only get a very faint opacity result rather than a solid colour. My layer palette also has different icons. For instance on my desktop I get a Raw/Jpeg icon but when I mouse over it it comes up with 'Lock/Unlock'. I also have a Raw icon. The 'Edit Selection' Icon is now just a folder Icon. !!!!!!!!!!!!
I've rebuilt and saved my workspace but nothing changes.
HELP.
Regards

Re: PSPx5 brain failure!!
Yep, your Preferences have become corrupted, and re-building the Workspace won't cure it. Hold down your Shift key when launching PSP and answer "Yes" to the prompt to restore the default preferences. Then you'll need to re-do any custom preference you've set.

Re: PSPx5 brain failure!!
Thanks. I figured out the opacity issue. I always use 100% somehow it had been reset at 10%.
The workspace was apparently corrupted. So I deleted my custom workspace. Then copied my workspace from the laptop and loaded it. Turned the computer off and rebooted.
All is now well.
I have no idea of how it all happened. Moral of the story is that if you have a custom workspace have a copy somewhere else that you can copy and reload.
