Use of American version of CorelDraw X6 in the UK?

Hello,

I recently purchased Corel Draw X6 from Amazon UK and got sent an American version of Corel, it states on the back, "This product may only be sold in the Americas."

Having contacted Amazon, they say there is nothing wrong with this, but I am a unsure and would like some further knowledge on this. For example would I still be able to upgrade in future, despite having a copy that is for the wrong country. And if I will have any problems claiming the download of Painter 12 (I purchased in June.)
