Video studio ProX5 crashes

Post by stantheman102 »

Hi
Downloaded a video clip (mp4) from youtube via Firefox. Tried to transfer it to a DVD via Corel Prox5, result - 'unspecified error' followed by program shutdown.
Tried to do it on Windows MovieMaker, no problem, worked perfectly.
What is wrong with Corel, or is it me?

If I were a conspiracy theorist I would say Corel has damaged our x5 versions so we would purchase the x6 - after all there is a pop up offering the x6 at a reduced price - hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Anyway - after working just fine for more than a year my X5 ultimate (ha ha) won't compile jpg images at the end of the compilation of video .mts images. When I go to create a file - I get the unspecified error message - after completion of 63% or even 99% (which it actually did none of it) something about a dump file. The only thing I can think of is to dump Corel products.
Hey Ken, nice to see you still here. I am sure you have answers I
I have always used .jpg for the images - but maybe there is a more x5 friendly format I could convert my images to
I did spend a bit of time trying to find the answer to "why does my x5 quit rendering BD file when it his the jpg images?
Thanks

July 1 go figure...cant create a file in bluray but x5 worked with avchd. I am certain some of my grey hairs are from video studio problems
