lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
I recently had a senior moment, sigh. I ended up deleting my video 5 ultimate . I finally installed it back again, For some reason, x4 samples\video\Po3 UVP files doesn't exist. Actually I had Studio prox5,prior to buying the ultimate program. I also have problems with my auto music, cant find those files. I didn't think that I had the files from pro X 5. still in my computer, Is it possible to reinstall the prox5 and the missing files will be back where they should be? I appreciate any help or direction you can give me concerning this. Thank you

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
The attachment is a copy of X4 samples\video\Po3 UVP -which you say is missing download - unzip - and see if installing that helps
note this is X4 POV3 - you did say you were installing X5
the auto sound files are contained in different folders around your hard drive - not in VideoStudio folders- try searching for 'Smartsound' to see if you have them - often the sounds do not populate until after the programme is installed and fully functional

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
I only attached the file from X4 because you said that was what you were missing.
but the one in X5 is exactly the same - even has the same creation date so you can use the one I already posted in X5

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
Dear Sir: Thank you for the files. I am embarrassed to tell you, Brian, I don't know where to put them. I am computer stupid. I thank you for the video subjects that you gave me to check out. If you can tell me what folder, or where to put these files I would appreciate it. Thanks again for your help. Magoo (now you know why I picked this name.)

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
the POV3 file goes in here :-
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5\Samples\Video\
There should be a POV1 and POV2 and POV4 file already in there.

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
There should be a total of 104 files in that folder - are you missing any more - sounds like it might be better to do a re-install of VideoStudio.

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
The pop up I get when I open video studio is that POV 4 does not exist. I have a ton of files, I think installing POV2 and POV 4 files might be all I need. Thank you again Brian

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
try these then -
remember all these files I have posted are zipped files you must unzip them before using them.

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
Brian, I downloaded the files and unzipped them. I put them in the folder that I believe was the right one. When prompted to relink, I kept getting a message, not all files found or installed, something to that affect. I guess you were right, I probably need to reinstall. If I reinstall X5 Ultimate, will I then get all the right files or do I need to install just the X5 program. I believe one of my senior moments involved removing the X5 program from my uninstall program, prior to reinstalling X5 Ultimate. Thanks for your time and patience.. Magoo

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
There is no difference at all between the Pro and the Pro Ultimate programme other than the colour of the splash screen - the two programmes are identical in every way - the ultimate comes with some additional plug-ins which should be installed after the VideoStudio programme is installed.
It sounds as though you have got yourself in something of a mess - if you had VideoStudio pro installed all you needed to do was install the plug ins, there was no need to uninstall the pro version .
I would suggest now that you uninstall BOTH the Pro and the pro ultimate programmes - then re-install the ultimate programme and finally install the add-ons.

Re: lost files in video 5 ultimate Video studio
Brian, Alls well again, thank you again, for your time and patience. I could have saved a lot of time and frustration, if I had listened to you earlier and just reinstalled..... I will be spending time watching your videos. I just recently bought Corel Paint shop pro x5 to go with my video program, off to check this program out. Jack
