Won't burn at slower speed

When i burned my first DVD slideshow, even when I chose to burn at 4 X speed, the buring speed defalted back to maximum speed when it started burning. This may be a bug in the software.

What burner and what disc media do you use?

Have you applied the latest Ulead Burning Engine Patch and the Ulead 16X Burning Pack??

Please do install them both to see if your problem is fixed.

I have a similar problem. I recently installed a Plextor PX-712A DVD burner and i used a 8X DVD + R blank disc. I have a version 3 of the DVD&CD Picture Show so the patches are not applicalbe to this version except the latest 5 in 1 updated patch which I have installed before burning.

I have DVD & CD Picture version 3 installed on my computer so the patches you are talking about are not applicable to VERSION 3 as indicated in the notes for the patches. I did install the latest 5 in 1 patch for version3 before I burned a DVD+R disc with a Plextor PX-712A DVD burner whcih has a maximum burning speed of 12X.

I have both Vesion 2 & 3 on my computer. I believe they share the same common files. I was able to burn the DVD at 6X speed with Version 2. Why it cannot be bruned it at same speed with Version 3 ?. The version number for file ULcdrdrv.dll on my computer is the same as the one described in the release notes of the above patches
