after upgrading from VS7 SE to VS8, i noticed that when rendering captured mpeg file to smaller 'avi' file using divx code's that the size of the image playing back in MS Media Payer was smaller ( no longer filled the screen).
i checked the settings in divx, re rendered file, and same results. I tried this on two different computers. then went back to VS7 SE and renderd the file, and it played back full screen.
I have tried everything, changing divx settings, no difference. i can't figure out why the same file rendered in VS7 Plays fills screen differently than in VS8.
any help would be appreciated.

i checked, its already there. i don't think it is media player it self, as when i have tried other players i get the same result.
for some reason, using the same divx settings, and rendering the same file, ( either a widescreen broadcast, or normal tv broadcast ) when rendering the file in VS7, it plays back filling the screen just as in the origional mpeg capture.
when rendering it in VS8, using same settings, i get a approximatly 1" blank band around the screen( top, bottom, sides ) and nothing i do seams to have any effect on it.

If you get different results in VS8, please fill the Tech Support Form in http://www.ulead.com/tech/suppform.htm to ask Ulead.
Hope this helps.
