Breathtakingly naive question about loading video

Hi
Loaded video from SDHC card into Pro X2. All videos appeared as thumbnails so far so good. I then removed card and tried to pit thumbnails into timeline but got message that video no longer exists etc with prompt to relink.

I thought that the "load video" option did precisely that.

Yes, well, sort of...! But it does not actually transfer the video from the card to your hard drive. So yes, the video is loaded or inserted in the program but it remains on the card. In other words, if you want constant access to it, you should transfer the video from the card, using Windows File Explorer or whichever program came with the camcorder, to your hard drive and then load or insert from there. :roll:
