Instructions are to uninstall a previous version before installing a new version, but is this really necessary?
With much other application software the norm is simply to install the latest version as an additional installation, is there a problem for VS if this is done?
Of course I wouldn't expect more than one version to be running at the same time.
I created early projects with ver 7, and would like to be able to run them again in ver 7, possibly making minor adjustments, yet at the same time to have ver 8 or 9 available for new projects.
