Motion menu buttons query.

Post by tecstar »

Does the footage played in the motion menu buttons always have to start from the beginning of the chapter, or can you set the motion to start at a point into the chapter?

Also, can you change the duration of the loop?

TIA.

You can create a small video clip that you wish to have as your motion button. Then make your menu as normal, and drag your small video clip from the library to the button -- it will become the motion for that button :)

Motion Buttons

Yes you can and it is easy

In the "Menu" step under "Menu" tab do the following:
Set "Menu Duration" to your desired length
Set "Loop Point"to start let say 10 sec.
Set "Loop Count" to "Infinite"

This way I avoid the black video which I have in some of my titles.
Mind you that.....
In the "finish" step or upon inserting the DVD to the player, the first loop
will start from the begining of the title but from then on you will see that all
motion buttons start from the point you have set.
Also pay attention to the fact that setting any button within a menu sets
all others to the same configuratin.

George's solution is easier and more flexible. It is also possible to configure it on a per button basis.
