KPT collection

Post by GlenBarrington »

I just upgraded to the X5 version of Paint Shop Pro fromX3. I had been using the 30 day free trial and decided it was a pretty good editor. However, I noticed there were some free downloads available, one of which was the KPT Plug-in collection. I hadn't used KPT before.

I downloaded it and installed the collection, and it appeared to install with no errors. The collection appears in the plug-in menu, but when I open the KPT selection, all the plug-ins appear grayed out and clicking on them does nothing. Are these for some OTHER version? Or is there some trick to getting them to work with X5?

I don't want to assume, so I'm going to ask - do you have an image open? If not the plug-ins will be greyed out.

No, unfortunately, I have an image open, but no go. I even tried selecting a portion of the image to see if that helps. After that, I tried to get them to work in X3 to see if the problem was version related

Well, it mysteriously started working. It's really just some overly complex filters, that I doubt I will ever use. I still am pretty impressed with X5.

Your image needs to be an 8-bit RGB image. The KPT Collection does not support 16-bit images.
