Toned down and blurry all over..

Post by garjobo »

Not certain if its a Paintshop problem as such..because even using the Epson printer small programme ( which came with the printer ) the colour on my dvd is very very muted...very poor actually.

My question is, ive made my dvd cover ( thanks to helpful advice from Ken and others )..it looks..ok. In the distant past, using PI12 etc...i made videocovers and printed to discs etc...and the quality was always good..neigh better than good.

Now, i have this Epson, PX730. In the past i have printed out photos..and larger - not using paintshop etc - and quality is excellent. I expected excellent results from my dvd cover. But boy oh boy was i disappointed. Using Epson paper, different settings, the quality is dreadful...not pixalated etc but very toned down, muted and virtually blurred..basically..un-usable.

Same result for my printable dvd -

Any thoughts as too why i can print excellent photos using simply...Documents>Library>Folder...my photos ..click on a photo and print it...and works fine...and yet...using a programme such as Paintshop..the quality...whatever i do..even a single photo and not touching any dimentions etc...is woeful.

Buttons i need to press? just basic standard stuff..

One chap did tell me to set up my dvd cover to, 300dpi ( 3210pixals x 2160 pixals ) Size of a dvd cover roughly. Again, the photo/s dont appear pixalated..not the issue..its the dreadful..toned down look...blurry all over...
