Re: Start frame numbers of chapter greater than number of fr
Are you still using the video file that is 1:50 long? Are you always trying to create a DVD? Have you tried to a folder set?
Have you worked with a video shorter then 60 minutes?
This thread is getting very long and it is hard to keep track of what tests have been done

Re: Start frame numbers of chapter greater than number of fr
Is out of topic indeed.
Answers on your questions:
1.Are you still using the video file that is 1:50 long?
No not for my current problem. I used a video file of a couple of minutes
2.Are you always trying to create a DVD?
No, also tried to create a Blu Ray and DVD but which result in not working software
3. Have you tried to a folder set?
If you mean creating a video_TS folder? I can not try that as the software stops just before the burning menu should shown
4. Have you worked with a video shorter then 60 minutes?

It seems as if your VS has been corrupted if it crashes before to even get to setting up the burn options (folder set: = Video_TS folder).
Can you create a folder set by just using a few standard jpg images?

Hi
When you burn a disc using a compliant Mpeg2 file,
From the final window choose to Create a Disc Image., after hitting the Burn button the process should start with Convert Menu.
If it starts with Convert Title you are rendering the video files or project files, this is not what you want. If this process fails then the problem is with the rendering.
Again if you are using a compliant Mpeg2 video file the process should not render the video.
Can you confirm you are indeed using a mpeg2 video file.?
Using the Back button return to the window that shows the video thumbnail in the timeline, view the media clips Properties what are they?
If you are not using a compliant Mpeg file then you must create one from the edit timelines.
As Canuck suggests are you able to use jpeg images rather than video files to create the DVD Folder/Disc image?

Should reinstalling VS make sense?

The point is that I can not come in that final window. On that point the software is only "thinking" and goes not further. I have then reset the program.lata wrote:Hi

Hi Pal
Apologies for the late reply……….
And sorry for any confusion, I had assumed you were having the problem after hitting the Burn Button
Below is an image of the window that I see, can you confirm you see the same details.
As for re-installing, yes I think that should be the next option?

Hi Lata,
I see the same screen, with all the details. After this screen (when selection "no menu") I got the screen with a zapper and preview. Then pushing the button "Next" to enter the burn section. But I never arive in the last window.
I will try to re-install this week.
Keep you updated

Re: Start frame numbers of chapter greater than number of fr
Hi Pal
First from the last window try using your keyboard Alt + N, this should navigate to the "Next" window
Alt + B would go "Back"
OK
Manually Update Direct X
Can you also try manually installing Direct X from this link
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... px?id=8109
1 / Download the file.
2 / Create a temporary folder on your desktop
3 /run the downloaded files to extract to the new folder
4 / run the DXSETUP.exe file

Re: Start frame numbers of chapter greater than number of fr
(using alt+N, didn't had any effect and the directX was the most recent version)
Now I can back to the original topic / problem.
Would it be worthfull to try burning the dvd folder again as I have re-installed the software now. Maybe it was a kind of a bug due to the wrong format of the external harddisc.

Re: Start frame numbers of chapter greater than number of fr
Hi
Good news, at least you can navigate the burner module.
Yes try burning a DVD Folder or Disc Image ISO.
Read my reply here:-
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 15#p271126
Just to sum up:-
You edit the project
Share Create Video File to create a mpeg2 file approx 4 Gb.
Start a new project Share Create disc
Add Media Files—adding the Mpeg2 created above.
The size bar should show Green, no yellow.
I would create an iso Disc Image, then use VLC Player to play the file.
Remember use the NTSF disc drive, not Fat32

Re: Start frame numbers of chapter greater than number of fr
The re-installing worked out very well.
I just had finished a new project and burned it as a 50gb blueray folder. It worked all well with no errors.
I will try burning the old project (the reason of this topic) in the next 2 weeks (less time). And keep you updated about the results.

Re: Start frame numbers of chapter greater than number of fr
I have tried again after re-installing the software and use the right format of HardDisc to write the DVD folders on.
It all went well. I have created a DVD folder with chapter points (no menu) for a 8,5 GB disc. no problems at all.
Many thanks for all help with this problem.
I think the format of the harddisc was the main issue. After that issue I think the software got corrupt.
Thanks again for you help
