34 chapters on menu page possible?

Hello all, been using Videostudiopro X5 for few years typically just for weddings and I do not use chapters. I need to edit and produce a dance recital this week and wondering if this is possible:

Producing 2 hours to a DL disc and will have 34 total dances. I will set a chapter marker for each dance. When it comes time for the menu, can I have 17 chapters on 2 pages for total of 34? I would like to have one menu page with 2 submenu pages, 1 submenu page for Act 1, 1-17 with song name and another for Act 2, 18-34 with song name.

I can do this with Sony Vegas, but prefer editing with VSPro.....

As far as I know the maximum number of thumbnail/chapter options DVD menu template which has been produced so far is 12 on one page.

I suppose you could make your own template with more options on - that involves using PhotoImpact and a relatively complicated procedure though - and I would have thought it would make for a very crowded page.

The 12 button option was made by forum member Steve Jones some years ago - but can still be downloaded from :-

Video Studio 9 was the last version to allow customising to 12 links, after that I think the limit is 8.

Photo Impact is the only program capable of creating new templates for video studio.

A forum member rjkok67 (aka RON KOKAY) provided a few templates, one for a text menu containing a total 31, I assume a text many would be best for that amount of chapters.

If you specifically need 17 per page, I could try to modify the templates.
Can you say what aspect ratio, I assume widescreen 16:9

Happened to see this post about DVD MENU questions, and thought i'd open the 20 text button menu in photoimpact X3 and delete 3 of the text buttons for a total of 17.

And thank you again for the Menu samples.

The navigation buttons contain a BTN_NOTE, this shows as invalid when viewing in PI X3, I don’t think there is a problem, but don’t understand that warning?

As a side note….To add and use the templates to the gallery I found you can create another Gallery option, your own folder.
The Galleries have three options, Smart Scene, Thumbnails and Text menus.
If you added a further folder it would also populate the gallery.

This is the folder location of the DVD galleries
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X5\Content\Menu Template\16x9

Create a new folder, I called it "My Templates", you must add a ufo file before the folder will show in the gallery

The galleries are listed in alphabetical order, so choosing the right name and you can have your folder show first.

Yep I know you can simply add to other folders including the Favourites, but I like the idea of having my own Gallery Menu

About The navigation buttons contain a BTN_NOTE error, I noticed that too when creating the text menu's but photoimpact still exported the template o.k. and i wanted to include (all) options on the menu template
so that you could add photo's etc to the menu and or add note menu to your project. Being limited to 10 or 12 chapters to a menu page just wasn't enough for me when doing some tutorial videos last year. I'm not
into it big time but did want more menu options than the standard ones. (Remember those templates are 4x3) Thanks Ron
