Post by abgino »

Hi;
I just purchased Video Studio X6. How do I get the text from X5 into X6?

Thank you

That depends exactly on what you mean by "the text" - the normal windows fonts to make titles etc. is automatically available when you upgrade.

Any titles etc. you have made can be simply imported into X6 libraries.

I note your request in the "wishlist" topic - as I said there you can use everything from X5 in X6 but different content requires different methods - most involve simply copying from A to B - if you say exactly what you want from X5 in X6 someone will help you.

In my X5 there are more text effects than in my X6 it seems everytime I upgrade I loose a lot from the previous versions and I don't want to keep 2 versions on my computer. How can I get the text effects into X6 from X5? What folder would they be in that I could import them?

Do you mean the Titles ???

Easiest way to get loads more of them is to open the Corel Guide in X6 - click on the "Get More" tab and download the free title packs.

if you have specific ones in X5 you need the just open X5 - drag all the titles you want to transfer down into the timeline - save them as a .vsp project file - call it say "Transfer.vsp" - close X5 - open X6 and open the Transfer.vsp project and then drag the titles from the timeline up into the titles library pane.

There is no problem at all with having two versions of VS on your computer - I currently have 4 versions.

I haven't been able to successfully bring the text effects from x5 to x6. I don't want to have 2 Video Studios on my computer. Does anyone know which folder the text effects are in so I can move them to x6?

Hi abgino

The text effects used in X6 should be the same as those used in X5 so I don’t really understand what you are trying to move.

When using X6 what effects are you missing.
I assume you are referring to the library, so which part of the library.

The Title library page contains preset text, I see approx 34.
How many do you see. :?:
The do-more allows downloads of Text Packs, these increase the library by 10 extra clips for each pack.

Can you give more details, maybe take a screen shot of X5 and X6, create jpeg images and attach to your post.
