PSP X5 Ultimate--PLUGINS

Post by lindawing »

I want to use the NVIDIA DDS Utilities.

They have a corrected DDS Photoshop plugin published (Photoshop_Plugins_x64_8.55.0109.1800) (my system is 64-bit). I've downloaded and installed it, and told it to go to the Plugins directory in X5. It doesn't work. I've tried moving the plugin into the Plugins (EN) directory. It doesn't work. I've also tried putting it in my user files. It doesn't work. I even tried making a separate Plug-Ins folder. It doesn't work.

I have set all the different plugins folders (using sub-folders), and nothing seems to work.

Could someone please try this and let me know EXACTLY where to put the DDS plugin (it has multiple folders). At the NVIDIA forums, it has been established that it DOES work with PSP X5, but I'm totally frustrated.

Thanks in advance for anyone who knows how to do this!

EDIT...
I have solved the problem. It finally dawned on me to dump the files out of the subfolders. All the correct files to deal with DDS images are now residing directly in my working files in Documents, inside the Plug-Ins folder I created there. Now it works perfectly. Hopefully this may help someone else if they ever have this same dilemma.

Happy to see your resolved this issue. It's exactly what I was going to suggest. However, it is okay to have the Plugins folder with sub-folders containing your various plugins.
