A thank you to Rick Champagne

Post by brucet »

I would just like to publicly thank Rick for stepping forward to bring us all up to date with what's happening with ASP/Corel. It's no doubt a no win situation for some. But Corel needed to up their communications with users. Albeit only a small but vocal group. This is a positive step in the right direction. Well done Rick.

I hope Rick gets all the support he can get from Corel. I also hope that 'us' users do the right thing by Rick and keep positive and helpful. Negative comments don't help anyone. Realistic questions and patience by us all can only result in something we have all been asking for.

Thanks Rick.

regards

Thank you as well. I haven't used ASP in a while but with the changes going on at adobe I might be going back to my old workflow. Hoping for new cam support and will continue to upgrade ASP if development continues. Thanks again.

My Nikon and Pana bodies are supported hence I still use ASP for all my photos (quite a lot) with pleasure,

The post by Rick Champagne gives some hope that this was not sort of a Neanderthal attitude, last ditch before oblivion. I too would like a bit more detail in the shades, a better detail/noise ratio and an easier way to make a correct colors preset for some bodies. With the GF1 colors are really fine, with the D80 they are "correct" and with the D7000 they are plain bad, especially alll the light orange to dark red range is really off.
