Is the X6 DVD Menu Editing Improved ?

Post by Wilson »

Hello all,

Been using X4 for several years and have overall been satisified, except when it comes time to edit DVD Menus in the Create > Disc interface. Workspace is tiny, all I typically need is some simple text menus with multiple chapter links and I end up spending just as much, if not more time, in this interface than I do editing the entire production.

I've read the post about X6 templates not installing properly;
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=50577

And have looked at the X4 vs X5 vs X6 comparison chart on Corel;
http://www.corel.com/corel/product/inde ... id=8100022

On Page2 of that chart the following is stated;
"DVD and Blu-ray Disc™ authoring – Export single clips from the disc authoring interface, edit and create DVD subtitles, burn from an ISO disc image and more"

This would be my main motivation for upgrading, if the Create > Disc , edit DVD menu options has been improved.

If you have experience with these DVD menu functions in X4 vs X5 vs X6 can you say if there have been improvements in this interface to make it more intuitive and easier to use?

thanks

Why not just download the FREE 30 day trial of X6 and check it all out for yourself first hand - the only way you can be completely sure.

I have always found the Create disc module very intuitive, very easy to use and very comprehensive in being able to produce hundreds of different menus which more than satisfy my needs.
