Automatic loading of PSP when I insert xD card
When I insert my camera card into the pc, PSP comes up.
But I do not want PSP to load up yet. How do I stop PSP from loading when I insert my camera card? I cannot find the box I am supposed to uncheck. Can someone direct me to it
Thanks!

If I was using Win 7 or Xp I would do Run > msconfig
and go to the startup Tab and untick CorelIOMonitor (and possibly also Corel PhotoDownloader).
Not sure if this is available on Windows 8.

Try File/Preferences/File Format Associations. You probably have .JPG assigned to PSP there. This is a Windows association.

Thanks hartpaul.
Unfortunately nothing from Corel is listed there.
Forriner, my windows association for jpegs are for the MS photo viewer so that isn't it.
PSP always loads up when I insert an XD card which is annoying because I have to close the program to get back to sorting my images into their destination folders.

Re: Automatic loading of PSP when I insert xD card
Autoplay might be your issue.
These are the things Windows is setup to start or use when it detects certain hardware or media types.
Open your Control Panel -> Hardware & Sound -> Autoplay
Or you can open your startmenu and type "AutoPlay" it should be under the settings category.
This will offer you a list of actions that Windows will perform when it detects something. See if PSP is listed at all. If it is, try changing this setting.
