We spent several emails with tech support and another hour during an online session with tech support two weeks ago because we are unable to import ANY format of still images to VideoStudio X6. Even the tech was unable to do so while in control of our computer. We've discovered others online at other tech websites complaining about this issue. Is this widespread and has anyone on this forum discovered a solution? After several inquiries and more than two weeks, no one at Corel will even reply for an update on progress with this issue.
Thanks sincerely!

Re: Still Images will not IMPORT on Windows 7 for VideoStudi
Hi DixieSniper
and welcome to the forums.........
I had a lot of problems running the program on a lenovo laptop.
Part of the problem was importing Jpeg images, but there were other issues
As a workround I was able to run ok in XP Compatibility Mode
The problem was my graphics driver, hard to believe for a new PC. But an update was available via Windows Updates.
View this page for more info, maybe this is the same issue you are experiencing,

But just to be clear, while some other users have had a problem like Trevor's, the vast majority of users have no trouble importing images into successive versions of VS...

Re: Still Images will not IMPORT on Windows 7 for VideoStudi
Thank you to everyone. I thought I was the only one who couldn't get photo images to import into VSx6. I was so frustrated! Having come here and seen this thread I checked drivers and then realized that Windows 7 was indeed the culprit. Running the program through Windows XP has definitely resolved the issue. Thanks again
