Videostudio 8 or upgrade 9

Post by derek l »

I'm interested with what the members think? Are the changes in VS9 worth the upgrade? Thanks all.

Depends on what you want to do. If it wasn't, who would buy it?

derek --

I was asking the same question just a few weeks ago. Got VS9 at a discount but STILL didn't install it, wondering if possibly I'd have some of the problems people discuss in the forum.

It took me about ten minutes with VS9 installed to realize it was much easier and therefore more fun to use. One single example, out of many I could give: It is much easier to adjust volume with rubber-banding than it used to be.

I say, Go for it!

I just finished a project that I have worked on for about 3 day 4-5 hr sessions each and had only one minor hiccup with the panning not syncronizing properly. I saved the project and restarted US8 and was back in action.

Haven't had a major need to upgrade to 9 because 8 is working well. The one feature that is nice is the motion menus but in my case I already have Pinnacle and use their menus, but that's another story...

If I can get the upgrade cheap I'd think about it otherwise not.

In a word - UPGRADE. VS9 has many nice features that are not available on VS8. Download the trial and give it a test drive.
