Videostudio X6 lacking feature..

Post by fang508 »

Hi, I recently started using Videostudio X6 coming from an old Ulead Mediastudio pro 8. Same company, there is a feature I used in Mediastudio Pro 8 that is not present in any of corel's Video Editing products.

For example, in MS8, when you move your cursor across the timeline you are given exact position number at the bottom of the screen down to the last millisecond. On VS X6 There is none, and while one does "show up" when i hold my cursor over the time index, it is not accurate and i have to guess exactly where it should be and then see if it is correct. Is there a setting I can alter to fix this or am i supposed to keep guessing?

VideoStudio displays the current cursor position very accurately in the digital time code displayed under the bottom right hand corner of the preview screen - it displays Hours:minutes:second:Frames - using the controls under the preview window you can also advance or retreat the cursor one frame at a time thus retaining the accuracy. - there is no point in displaying milliseconds as that means nothing - you can only work on complete video frames.

What reason do you have to say it is not accurate - what criteria are you judging it against.
