Whle Blue Ray is selected, Videostudio X5 ultimate aborts

Post by chum94555 »

Hello, I have prepared a folder using AVCHD for BLUE RAY Disc( that is I am not trying to burn Blue Ray from timeline). When I go in share-create disc-pick blue ray, the program aborts with message 'Program will abort Contact technical support' No details on error

The file size is less than 6 GB

I am using WIN 8 have 16 GB of ram, Have Blue Ray burner and Quad Core CPU
I have checked and Burner's firmware is up to date Same for Videostudio 15. It has all the updates and patches installed.

I have checked this forum and did not find similar posting

I thing retry and same thing every time

Please help

Hi

Can you confirm just what is happening
If you start a new project—File -- New Project (Ctrl+ N)
Nothing in the timeline, Share Create Disc-Blu-ray
What happens--- :?:
The burner module should open. If this causes Video Studio to crash try again using
Share Create Disc – DVD
Does Video Studio crash?

Thanks Lata

I played with a bit more and found out

-With or without anything (project/media) in time line , if I pick Crate Disc, VS15 closes
-This seems to happen when I try to go in CREATE DISC function regardless of BLUE RAY or Standard DVD

However I can edit and even create Video Files No issue

I am unable t use UVS 15 t create any sort of disc in short. Also pl note I am NOT burning project from timeline. I am making Video files (AVCHD or MPEG2) FIRST AND THEN bring this file in timeline t burn

I would appreciate any fix to this

NB My VS his updated. All my Drivers and WIN8 is up to date

Hi

Can you update your profile to include your current computer specifications, then others wont get confused as you say you are using Windows 8.

I don’t really have a solution to what is happening. Clearly it has nothing to do with your video files as it crashes from an empty timeline.

Can you try re-setting the program to its installed default state.

How to manually reset Corel® VideoStudio Pro X6 to Default Settings

If you are still having the same issues, have you tried re-installing the program.

Try downloading the trial version X6 to see if the problem still exists.
If yes then it really has to be an issue with your PC
