Hi. I use Corel Video Studio Pro X3. After I complete the project and create a DVD, during playback, there is an occasional scratching sound. It also happens when I playback in MPEG format. All my music and sound are in MP3 format. When I play an MP3 file by itself on the computer using media player or real player there is no scratching sound.

Various versions of VS seem to dislike certain types of mp3, particularly those made with the LameMP3 codec. All I can advise is to try first converting your mp3 -- using a third party audio editor like the freeware Audacity -- to standard .wav format, and using that instead.
