VideoStudio Pro X6 trial version

Post by PaulD46 »

Hi, I have recently downloaded the trial version of VS X6 and cannot get it to work, hence my joining this forum. I am trying to download video from a Panasonic VHS machine and a JVC DV gr-dvl105A camcorder via a KWorld usb2800D DVD maker. I have a WebCam installed on the PC. When I click on capture video it defaults to logitech HD webcam as the source and format as DVD [there is only DVD in the format box] when I click on source it shows the web cam and the USB 2860 device. I select the USB 2860 which appears in the source box for less than a second and then the source reverts to the webcam. The light indicator on the KWorld usb2800 is not lighting up. It works on ulead Video studio 10 plus and Cyberlink power director. Is this DVD maker not compatible with VS X6 or is the trial version missing drivers or files? My system is windows 7 home premium. mb is GA-H77-DS3H, memory 8gb, hd 1TB, processor intel i3 3220. Can anyone help me please? :(

Our usual advice is to use whatever software came with the capture device to do the capture, then simply open the captured video in X6 to edit it. Often, the software provided by the hardware manufacturer has been tweaked to work with the device, even when it is Video Studio, but they haven't shared the tweaking with Corel so that it will work directly with X6.
