Audio out of synch
Why do the weirdest things happen to me?! I am continuing to edit old videos to transfer them to DVD. I am currently trying to edit what I assume are old analogue 4:3 clips and find that even when played in the windows viewer, and again when I transfer them into Videostudio, that the Audio is about one third shorter than the film clip. I can understand the audio by dragging out the length to match the length of the clip, but the resulting sound is pretty dreadful. Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Audio out of synch
sounds a bit as though something went wrong in the transfer stage - possibly the video and audio were connected to the computer via different routes and so recorded incorrectly - do you know how the videos were originally transferred from tape to PC.
The only solution may be to transfer them again by a different method.

Re: Audio out of synch
Thanks. I transferred them via connecting my old analogue camera through my digital camera to the computer. It worked OK for other films that I have so far edited. I shall watch the rest closely. Fortunately with this one there is not too much dialogue that mattered, so I can just record a voiceover track.
