I would like to gather some photos from different files in a new tray so I can manipulate these photos together. I have tried to figure this out and I think I have done it before. But for whatever reason now I cannot use the add tray button nor can I do it on the organizer button at the upper left corner of the tray. When I click on more options none of the tray buttons are highlighted, so I cannot get it to create or delete or rename a tray.
What have I done. It must be some settings that I have gotten into that I can't figure out.

When you have the Organiser open, there is the default tray that opens the contents of a folder you have clicked on in the Navigator.
Then there is My Tray.......next to that is a large + sign, click on that to add a new tray. When the dialogue window pops open, give the tray a name. It's that simple!

Re: create new tray?? in X5
Maureen, they said specifically they can't use the Add Tray Button and that the menu option is grayed out. That menu option is only grayed out if the function for adding a tray is unavailable...which it shouldn't be. I can't find a reason for it not to be.
So, my first suggestion would be to try resetting the workspace.
Every now and again if the workspace becomes corrupt, for whatever reason, menus become unavailable, icons are placed in the wrong places, or icons in the right places point to wrong tools. Or correct tools act like wrong tools. It's a very weird thing.
Of course this may have nothing to do with your problem.
Close PSP. Then while holding the shift key double click on the desktop icon for PSP. It should ask if you want to reset to factory defaults. Let us know if that works.

Thank you Maureen
I tried the reset and when I opened the software the Plus sign was highlighted, but when I started to do something it grayed out. I tried several times. Also on the menu add a tray or delete a tray are grayed out. Maybe I should just reinstall the software.
I looked to see if Corel would give me support but not without my paying. I have been using this software for 8 months.

Re: create new tray?? in X5
Which work mode are you in?
Have you checked the Preferences?
Did you customise and save a workspace?
Do you have a default workspace, if so, access it and try from that?
The most hated words, can you unintall/reisntall? Something could have caused a glitch....... When reinstalling make a new database.
It's difficult to ascertain the exact problem without standing over your shoulder. Let's know how you go.
