from avid quick time reference

Does anyone know how to convert an avid quick tme reference using windows media 9 into an acceptable file for workshop to make into a DVD?

I know that avid typically uses Sorenson squeeze to perform this operation but I was wondering if the same could be done with windows 9 which comes with the ulead software and if so what kind of file should I convert the quick time reference to?
