When I tried to run Video studio x5 I got a message that my instalation had been illeagly modified and I need to reinstall. however when i ran the installer it un-installed the program, did not give me an option to repair or fix. So I tried running the installer again and I get a message The insatlation wizzard encountered a problem while trying to configure your software. Could not access file c:\users\jeff\appdata\local\temp\8019fce7-466b-4f28-b43e-416acb2da281\setup\setup.msi - The system cannot find the path specified.
I have run as administrator and still get the same error, (the actual folder has hanged at different times and I know the program can access the folder because it is creating that folder it says it can't find.
Any help would be appreaceted.

Re: reinstalling video studio
There is a Corel uninstall tool for VideoStudio X5 - you might like to download it from my link below - unzip it and run it - it should remove all remnants of your previous installation so that you can start again with a clean system.

Re: reinstalling video studio
Hello,
Can I please ask what to do if I am going to change computers now.
I have installed Video Studio Pro X5 and have registered the product etc.
Now my current computer is going to be exchanged for a new one next week.
How do I make sure I can reinstall my Corel Video Studio package again on this new computer and can go on working on my video's?
Maybe this is a stupid question
.
Do I do some kind of an official uninstall first or something and then lateron reinstall on the new computer?
Thank you very much for helping me out!!
Cheers, Herman

Re: reinstalling video studio
Hi Herman
Welcome to the forums
You do not have to uninstall the program from the old computer.
Install the program on the new computer, when you run the program you will be asked to register, this will give full access to the Corel Guide, use your e-mail address for your Corel account, same as used for the old PC, you should be up and running.
If you are editing projects on the old PC you may be best to create a Smart Package transferring the folder to the new pc. The VSP project file should open without problems.
Hope this helps

Re: reinstalling video studio
The EULA allows you to install VS on up to 3 computers, but you are only supposed to have one running at a time.
I suppose, though, you also need to think what you are going to do with VS on your old machine if it is going to someone else who is not, of course, the registered owner of VS...
