I have split the audio from the video track and I am now trying to "lift" a copy to put through a sound editor. I then intend to replace the original audio track. (or to put on audoi track 2 and mute 1)
I havn't as yet found a way to lift the audio track and load into a seperate file. Any ideas?

Re: Copying the Audio Track
Split audio is a bit of a mis-nomer - because it is not actually split from the original video clip - it is still in the video just presented as a different graphic - in fact if you right click on the video images you will see that it says the sound is simply muted - and you can indeed unmute it and it is back with the video.
in fact if you "Split Audio" then go to the actual file in Windows Explorer and 'Play' it in another programme it still has the sound.
The easiest way to get an editable sound file is to put your video in the timeline and go "Share >> Create Sound file" to produce a stand alone .wav file which you can name whatever you want - then when you put it back in your timeline just mute the original.
