I am sure I had this problem some time ago and posted a question here and it was answered but I cannot find it.
I am trying to import video from a non protected DVD to VS X4.
I select CAPTURE > IMPORT FROM DIGITAL MEDIA
Then select the drive, select START and all the chapters etc are displayed. I click on the 'chapter' I want to import and it is highlited, I then select the Working Folder but Startimport remains 'greyed out' and cannot be selected.
Would someone please remind me what the "trick" is for importing from digital media.
This is far from intuitive.
Is their a trick to importing from DVD to VS X4

Hi John
1 / place disc in drive—deselect/close any auto run options generated from the pc.
2 / open Video Studio , right click Timeline, choose Insert Digital Media
3 / This opens a window “Select Import Source Folders)
4 / choose the Video_TS folder within your DVD/CD drive (your disc)
5 / select OK and another window will open, this may contain other selections, remove all but your folder.
Click your folder to select, then Start
6 / another window opens, the disc contents should load and display as thumbnails.
7 / Select the Titles you wish to import, there is a small grey square top left of each thumbnail, this must have a tick in it to activate the Start Import button
8 / Start Import
I normally only select the Titles, this will import the video as a whole file. You do not need to select Chapters as well as Titles.
If you select Chapters they will be imported as separate files.
