Auto save, in my opinion, is a pain, so I have removed the tick from the box and hope never to see it again.
I searched this forum to see if anyone has mentioned where these files are saved, but drew a blank.
Are these temporary files? Or are they saved to an unknown location to build up into a every increasing file.
I have inspected the X5 folders and files, but can't locate where these files end up.
Does anyone know?
Thanks.

I don't know if this is it, but from my understanding the Auto-Save feature saves a temporary file so that if the program crashes without properly clearing the temp files it'll give you the option to recover them. But I could be wrong.
If I'm right then it's possible this is the location.
Well should be the same in Windows 8 as Windows 7 but just know I am on Windows 8.

Re: X5-Auto Save
Auto save actually saves the file(s) in the folder that you have actually taken an image from or working with.

I followed Levi's link and deleted all the temp files, there weren't many as I normally don't have Auto save enabled.
I never work with the original image, so Auto save wouldn't know where to save, hence the temp files. All gone now!

I am not sure why you are reviving this thread when it is more than 18 months old. Moreover, all of the people in this thread show their OS in their personal details to the right of the post...
