VideoStudio X6 Ultimate Not Running

Sorry if this has been posted about before but i can not find any help on this..... I have videostudio x6 ultimate just installed it from a boxed dvd and can not get it to open up. I just keep getting a message saying (videostudio has stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program). I am on windows 7 home 64 bit, 8Gb Ram and intel core i7. It's the 1st time trying to use corel software but can not use it, can i get some help or has this been a wast of money.

Any help on this would be good, is it only me having this happening or is there any one out there having the same happening to them? as can not find any help on Google.

O this is the 1st time using a message board so if i am slow forgive me.

Unfortunately, a number of other users have recently been reporting similar problems with other versions of VS, and the solution has been tracked down to a browser add-on rather than VS itself. Thank you for this info i can not find any of them on my pc.

But have not been able to open VS at all it just comes up with the message (videostudio has stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program) as soon as i open vs.

This happened to me and when I went into the control panel and looked at the installed programs it listed 'browser manager' as one of the programs. Once I deleted it Video Studio resumed working.

I had a very strange issue using a Lenovo laptop, turned out to be a Graphics driver issue.

Most likely nothing to do with your computer, but view this web page to see if running in XP Compatibility mode allows the program to at least start.

I would think that you may be best to re-install the program.
I would copy the disc contents to your hard drive then re-install using those files.

Hi i have tried to run VS in XP mode and still no joy. I am only running windows 7 Home P so do not think i do not have full xp mode. sill need help

You could try the default settings, just incase the files are corrupt, this will re-create the 16.0 folder

Hope this can help someone help me as i have never had so much hard ship with new software. come on Corel I need help this 1st time Corel user is starting to have bad feeling to your software. New software from a new dvd box and it still not working after a full system restore. CAN ANY ON HELP ME.

First off, I need to repeat what you may already know, but this forum is not staffed by Corel employees. It is a user to user board, staffed by users just like you who volunteer their time to help others. None of us are paid by Corel, so don't expect an answer here which is from Corel!

That being said, the faulting module nvdxgiwrap.dll has caused problems in a number of other applications, including Internet Explorer and Skype. It is apparently an nVidia 3D driver. Suggestions in other forums which have apparently worked include updating your nVidia drivers; or going into the nVidia control panel and either turning off its 3D capability or changing it to auto-select when to use 3D, instead of leaving it permanently on. Another suggestion was to reinstall the current nVidia driver, but that related to a case where the original driver file had some corruption in it.

My first reply was related to a Graphics Driver as I had previous problems with a new Lenovo Lap Top
You would not have thought that a brand new machine would need a graphics Driver update, but it did????

Did you view Auto Updates Optional section to see if windows were actually recommending an update.

Your latest post relates to nvdxgiwrap.dll which Ken identified as being a problem, again a driver issue.

A BIG BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE HELPED ME

I WENT ON TO THE NVIDIA WEBSITE AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A UPDATE TO MY GEFORCE CARD WHICH WAS NOT ON THE WINDOWS UPDATE.

DOWNLOADED IT AND VSX6 ULTIMATE NOW WORKS FROM WHAT I CAN SEE

SO THINK COREL NEED TO START PAYING YOU GUY'S AS TECH SUPPORT HAVE NOT HELPED ME AT ALL
