Here's another low-key niggle I have encountered since "upgrading" from PSP X2 to PSP X5:
The screen-capture option (kicking off via Shift+C shortcut) seems very flickery / sluggish (my previous setup was PSP X2 on Windows XP Pro).
Very smooth (back then) - but now the selection box flickers away - making taking a precise "grab" on Windows 8 Pro practically impossible (regardless of what application I am trying to grab from..)
Is this typical performance or is there something I can do to improve it?
Thanks, John.

This doesn't solve your PSP issues but...mounsey wrote:Here's another low-key niggle I have encountered since "upgrading" from PSP X2 to PSP X5:

If you screen-cap frequently, you may want to switch to a freeware program called PicPick http://www.picpick.org/en/
NOTE: Use Custom Installation and uncheck what you don't want.
-----------------------------------
(From their site as-of 06-27-13)
System Requirements:
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows Vista
Microsoft Windows 7
Microsoft Windows 8
Microsoft Windows Server
-----------------------------------
I have it set to load with Windows Vista Home Premium, so it's always running silently in the background, in case I want to grab something.
The Protractor and Pixel Ruler are equally useful when I'm using PSP9.

Just curious, does it flicker when you start the capture by File/Import/Screen Capture/Setup... and then click on Capture Now?
