Ulead Cool3D Production Sstudio

Hi

I'm new here.

My problem is that having downloaded the trial software it runs fine except that when I drag from the easypalette window nothing appears in the untitled window. The cursor in the window appears to be the rotate one. The animation works in the easypalette window.
The only problem I can detect is when I run DXdiag under the Display tab it shows that "Hardware accelerated Direct3d 9+ is not available because the display driver does not support it". I have the latest video drivers installed.
What is wrong?
Im using Zenith Data System VT Desktop with a P2 400, 128 mb ram and windows98se with the latest Directx drivers. The onboard video appears to be an ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP (according to the Hardware Control Panel.

There are two things from what I have read:
1) Graphics card drivers need to be updated to latest ATI ones. I am not sure your Rage would fall under the Cat. range or not as I have never tried ATI GPUs before
2) Win98SE O/S DirectX graphic drivers also need to be updated to latest where possible.

COOL3D is a fun thing to try and learn...
Tough that the only VASST DVD sells at US $99. This is more the price I paid for my upgrade *ouch*... hee hee....

Please check the Product Technical FAQ of COOL 3D Production Studio and the System Requirements of COOL 3D Production Studio for this problem.

The driver of ATi Rage series is only DirectX 6 compatible and is not DirectX 8/9 compatible so you will not see anything in the project window of COOL 3D Production Studio. I think you will need to upgrade your display card or use Ulead COOL 3D 3.5 instead because Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio 1.0 requires DirectX 8/9 compatible display card to run.

For DirectX 8/9 compatible display card, you can try nVidia TNT2 or Geforce series and ATi Radeon series.
