Ok The TS wanted to knwow how long he could record on a 32GB memory because he was confused about a (faulty)publication. All of a sudden the 1024 which I used in my calculation seemed to become related to the 1024 square pixel size story. I do not understand why. This was not the TS's problem I think.

erdna -- it only came up because he mentioned the possibility of reducing his original video down to mpeg-2 for a DVD, but then said he would make it 1024 x 576 for that. But yes, it had nothing really to do with his original question.
