Drag and Drop PSPX5
I've been able to drag and drop in previous versions, ie: PSPX4. For some reason I cannot drag and drop into PSPX5.
I'm sure when I first installed it I could do that, now when I try to drag an image into the programme I have round black icon with a line across denoting I can't do this.
Can anyone help with some advice why this maybe happening? I have Windows 8 64bit.

Re: Drag and Drop PSPX5
Hmmmm, not sure this helps, but it works fine here on Win7. So I gather it is a capacity PSPX5 should have. Good luck sorting it out.
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.

No problem dragging and dropping into the X5 workspace using Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. Ergo it must be something to do with Windows 8.trueblue wrote:I've been able to drag and drop in previous versions, ie: PSPX4. For some reason I cannot drag and drop into PSPX5.

Re: Drag and Drop PSPX5
Thank you for your replies.
I am using Windows Pro 8 64 bit. I can drag/drop from file explorer, desktop etc. directly into the document workspace with X4 but not X5.
I am beginning to think it is something to do with Win8 but have no idea how to find out or fix it. It's odd I can do it in X4 but not X5.

It works fine for me using Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (in Desktop Mode).

Re: Drag and Drop PSPX5
I also have no such issues with my Windows 8 installation.
Which means it's specific with you, though the OS could still be a culprit might want to look at other things before blaming the OS.
Here's a dumb question, which of your two installations of PSP is setup as the default program for editing images?

Re: Drag and Drop PSPX5
It's not a dumb question at all Matthew.
X4 is in default and X5 is a customised workspace. However, even if I return X5 to default workspace I still cannot drag and drop.
The question about the updates, yes I am fully updated thanks.
It is obvious a problem between X5 and something in my OS that seems I have to try sort out. I can live without it for the moment, but I was curious if this was a problem for others.
Thank you all for your assistance.

Re: Drag and Drop PSPX5
I know this is an old post, but I came here looking for the exact problem. I finally found the solution for no drag and drop for any program. To solve this problem, go to paintshop icon right click choose property -> Compatibility -> Settings -> uncheck Run this programs as an administrator.. then click apply -> ok.. it will work. Make sure you are not running as an administrator and it will let you drag and drop.
