Hi
If you complete the editing of your project, then do Share Create Disc, the burner module will open and automatically insert your project showing as a single thumbnail, view the information/properties, you are for all intents and purposes inserting a VSP.
This is not a compliant video file so will be converted prior to burning the disc. (Convert Title step)
The settings used can be selected via the Project Settings cogwheel lower left.
Using the Custom option you can set 5.1 digital Dolby
The Do Not Convert compliant video…. Is redundant as your file is not compliant but a project file a VSP, it will be converted whether the option is selected or not.
We suggested that you convert your projects before burning a disc, whichever way you choose to go that video file has to be made and will take the same time to render.
Does that make sense……….
One last point.
Generally Do not convert Compliant is always selected
Assume you are adding compliant video files, then rendering will not take place as Do Not Convert is selected.
Then you realise the files are to big to fit the disc, the green bar showing Yellow or Red--- to reduce the size you have to reduce the Data Rate (Custom Option) sufficiently to fit the disc, you would have to de-select the Do Not Convert option to force a render applying the new data rate.
Otherwise Do Not Convert should be selected.
Cannot Burn Disk in Dolby 5.1 X6 Ultimate or X4 Pro!

Re: Cannot Burn Disk in Dolby 5.1 X6 Ultimate or X4 Pro!
I just re-read my thread--many months later--as i am burning a test disk of this year's work in progress. After rendering Blu Ray or AVCHD folders or file, how do I determine (before burning an actual disk) that the audio of the rendered file is in Dolby 5.1? Can I insert it into VS and check properties? Or is there another way to check the audio stream properties? Perhaps another player that displays this information?
Thanks very much!
Mark

Hi Mark
The HD folders (BDMV) contain many sub folders, one is called Stream, this folder should contain the actual video files as Mts, I think?
Simply import a clip to the Video Studio timeline.
Right click the clip and choose properties, the audio properties can be seen at the bottom of the panel.
