Creating Interlaced WMV using Video Studio

Post by susantab »

I am using Video Studio Pro X5. Is there any way to create interlaced wmv contents? I can create interlaced mpeg2 files but could not create interlaced wmv. Do any one knows the solution? Will upgrade to Pro X6 would help?

Welcome to the forums.

As far as I am aware, VS can only output progressive or frame-based video i.e. not interlaced -- though I would be happy if someone could prove me wrong. Other programs, such as Sony Vegas or Movie Studio are similar in this regard. VS X6 is similar to previous versions, so there would be no point upgrading if this is all you are after.

Why do you want the wmv format specifically interlaced?
