VS9 renders DVD Mpg very jerkily

A change in bitrate should not cause the video to play back at different speeds -- what governs playback speed is the framerate, which should not change. The framerate should be 29.97/23.97 and 25fps for NTSC and PAL, respectively.

That's what I said - "framerate".

Another possibility - DVD's do not always use a consitent framerate. Or it's something to that effect. On a Futurama DVD, the intro theme was a different framerate than the rest of the episode - this of course caused the intro to display at a different speed than the episode.

Spelled "consistent" wrong though. Oops.
