I have tried FLIP-ALBUM customized thus:
the first layout (blank page with an A)
custom album cover ( a JPG)
Size 15, PAGE A (existing template), PAGE B (existing Template)
Duration 2 seconds
Color grey
When I go SHARE --> CREATE VIDEO FILE --> SAME AS PROJECT SETTINGS
It tries to create an MPG. I get the RENDERING dialoge but after a while it dies. Just disappears. No Messgae.
I thought I had installation problems because I recently went from original VideoStudio 15.0.0.258 to 15.2.0.10. So I deinstalled and reinstalled. Same problem. I did the upgrade again. Same problem.
I thought maybe I was running out of memeory so I used two very small MPG files with the same transition. Same problem.
So I finaly replaced the transition by something else. It worked.
I went back to the original project. Changed all the FLIP-BOOK transitions to another one.
Everything worked fine.
So I assume there is a bug in the FLIP-BOOK transition in VideoStudio X5

Re: Problem with transition FLIP-ALBUM
Almost from the day they were introduced lots of people had problems with the ALBUM transitions - for some people they work perfect but it looks to me as though an even bigger number have problems - there used to be quite a few different ones but presumably due to the problems we are now down to only one - I just gave up trying to use it.

Re: Problem with transition FLIP-ALBUM
Hi
Just tried your settings and have no problems.
Unless others can replicate your problem then it is probably your pc rather than a Video Studio bug.
Can you try disabling Smart Render when creating the Mpeg file.?

Re: Problem with transition FLIP-ALBUM
Today I tried again. I turned on all accelerators.
I removed the FLIP customized transitions and replaced them with the default.
I tried a rendering and it worked.
I then customized the PAGE A and PAGE B.
The rendering worked fine.
I then customized all the transitions by adding a custom picture (the same as before) to and setting the size to 15%.
Again I was able to render an MPG. This was a 56 minute MPG withabout 10 files with a customized FLIP between each.
Furthermore I was doing other things while it was rendering. Scanning 35 mm negatives and doing email.
Now I don't know if turning on all the accelerators made a difference or if in the original a glitch happened with the first transition. But I seem to have no problem now.
