video x5 suddenly won't start up

I have not used it in a few months went to start it up and all I get is the splash screen and the little time circle but nothing happens. Says it is not responding and shuts down. Worked fine when I last used it months ago. No real change in the computer. It was a paid for copy. I looked for my old downloads but can't seem to find it yet, must have burned it some back up media. I found the serial number on Corels website under my account but no redownload. Doug

First try Resetting VideoStudio Pro X5 to its Factory Default Setting

There have also been some issues regarding a Browser Manager, do a search on the forum and the Knowledge base for more info….

Thank you all for the help. I found something called browserprotect.exe in the task manager and could not get rid of it there but went to control panel and uninstalled the program and now corel runs. It almost seems too easy, I will have to run some scans on my computer. Doug
