Hi,
Im trying to create a Facebook Timeline Photo, I followed the video on YouTube exactly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgkYT2kfp8Q , and I have the Timeline Photo created, but after examining the photos I have reduced in size (by dragging the corner of the selection down to fit) my images get VERY PIXELATED! All the photos that I have on the created Timeline is like this, its so pixelated you can barely see the picture! The photos was taking with a 8MP camera at the highest settings. The photos are crystal clear before I reduce the size of them. If your wanting to know how I reduced the size, I dragged the photo onto the working area, then I grabbed the corner of the selection and dragged down the photo to fit onto my Timeline background. If you look at the Youtube video, I did the EXACT same thing as described in the video! Can someone please tell me why the pictures are coming out all pixelated and blurry!
HELP!
Brian

Well, assuming you are not zoomed in too closely then it might be the result of resizing using the pick tool.
Depending on how many times it was resized this could be the result of raster distortion. Every time you shrink, rotate, and so on pixels are lost in the translation.
Once you know the final size you want for the image, I suggest you go back to the original image and select the "Resize" command instead. This will do a singular resize and should help you avoid pixelization.

1. I would make a new blank canvas 2550 x 945 pixels to start with (3 times the dimensions ) so that I can work with larger images. You can duplicate that and fill the lower one with whatever colour, pattern , gradient you wish.
2. Plan where each image goes and resize each image appropriately. Arrange the images scaled down on your workspace.
3. use the video procedure of selecting each image and dragging its thumbnail over on the new canvas. They will all be placed in the middle of that canvas , but you can drag them from there using the move tool to place them where you wish.
4. When you have done all the placement and effects, save it as a psp file (for later editing if you like) then Merge all , Resize to 850 pixels wide and save with compression factor of 10 to your desktop.
5. Log in to Facebook and then upload your new cover photo.
