Help with Play back.

Post by Velchivz »

Hello, I just purchased VideoStudio x6 Ultimate and been having some issues since I got it. I can open it with no problem, though sometimes it takes a while in the blue Corel blue screen. When the programs opens, I import the video files I want to work with and everything works fine. The problem begins when I put these video files on the tracks blow. Every time I push play or pause, it freezes, mouse gets loading icon, for a couple of seconds then it plays. Every time I move from one time to another, freeze. Also, after the video is being played for several seconds, it begins to lag (kind of like when the frame rate drops in a video game). I been looking around on changing settings and nothing seems to fix and this just got very frustrating. I change settings back to defaults, but same issue, no fix. I hope someone knows any fix on this. I'll leave my specs below.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
AMD II x4 650 3.2 GHz
8 GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 550 Ti

P.S. I read reviews before purchasing this product. I am sure this can't be normal.

Can you give us full details of the files you are putting on the video tracks, right click one on the time line and paste the properties here.

Hi
And welcome to the forums

If you were to use the sample videos from the library do they play ok.

Can you tell us about your video files properties, right click a clip and select properties what are they?
Does playback improve if you choose Clip or Project playback?

Some HD types Avchd can be quite demanding on the pc resources, Video Studio uses a process called Smart Proxy, this creates another file saved to the Smart Proxy folder which should help in playback of your files.
It does take time to create the proxy files so be patient.
View Settings Smart Proxy Manager and Queue Manager

Hope this helps.
