if AS won't start on Win8 (OpenCL problem)

Hello,

I solved a problem with my new laptop and After Shot Pro.

AS doesn't start on Windows 8 and AMD switchable graphic device, the startup process endend up in a "Aftershot Pro has stopped working" message.

The AMD catalyst driver with version 12 doenst support switchable devices, I've installed the 13 beta 7 drivers from http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pa ... river.aspx

After installing this driver everything runs fine!

So I hope I could help someone :)

Welcome to the forums! And thank you for this information -- it may be useful to other users in a similar situation. I too have AMD switchable graphics, and have other problems with it and another program, so I know what you have been going through...

And I should add that your English is very good! :lol:

I had problems with the nik plugin collection and worms revolution too.

With the driver update they no longer exists.
