Questions:
1) Is there any advantage of using VSPX6's built-in Disc Authoring module over DVDMFP7?
2) Does DVDMFP7 have more features; menu creation, templates, etc.?
3) Does either package allow one to author a disc containing subtitles that can be turned on/off via TV remote?
Regards,
Robert

Re: VSPX6 Disc Authoring v. DVDMFP7
IMHO, MF 7 Pro is these days probably less capable than X6 in the disc authoring stakes. Essentially, the central engine is much the same in both programs, with much the same set of editing tools and templates. But as I have seen you are aware in another thread, X6 now has a feature relating to sub-titles that I am pretty sure that MF 7 does not have...
Of course, the whole MF 7 package does a number of other things (on its start-up screen) that X6 does not, but that was not the point of your question.

Thanks, Ken.
Unfortunately, I am experiencing a DMP error message when trying to Share>Create Disc with the trial of VSPX6. Since I can't get to this step, I do not know what authoring features VSPX6 has. I was hoping DVDMFP7 would just be flat out better and would justify a purchase.

Re: VSPX6 Disc Authoring v. DVDMFP7
Well, just remember that MF 7 is now quite an old program in software terms. I can't remember when it was first released but it must now be more than 4 years old. Moreover, there are no indications that Corel is working on any update version. In other words, VS has caught up with it, possibly by X4, definitely by X5 and has now edged past it IMHO in X6.
Perhaps if you tried out X6 on your Win 7 machine, as discussed in your other thread, you might be able to satisfy yourself...
